Interior Design of the Vauban Cabin in Normandy
The Vauban cabin, constructed entirely of stone, initially lacked water and electricity. Our project involved connecting it to the utilities and transforming it into a year-round residence with optimal comfort and functionality.
The cabin features a duplex layout with a total floor area of 17m². On the ground floor, you’ll find a kitchen and a walk-in shower room with a Japanese toilet, offering a view of the sea just a few meters away. The kitchen also benefits from this view through a marble-framed window.
In the living area, ample space is left open to allow the owner to practice yoga. A custom-built bookshelf adorns the upper wall, accessible via a movable ladder leading to the mezzanine. The upper level accommodates a large double bed and storage for linens.
